Nostalgia

25 years is a long time. But it looks as if it happened yesterday. It was in September of 1986 that a bunch of us joined the MBA program at Osmania University. It was the only MBA college at that time in the whole of Hyderabad (two other MBA colleges opened in 1987). Quickly we gelled into a very cohesive unit.

Folks with odd roll call numbers were in the 'A' section and even numbers in the 'B' section. Even though we were physically divided nothing could separate our group. Having Hot Sams or Irani chai under the tree next to Arts college or sharing the 50 paise tea among 4 in the OU canteen, we were always together.

The classes were interesting. More interesting was the class next door - MA English. It had some of the most beautiful girls in the campus. We would line up the corridor each morning and let the girls pass (think guard of honor!!!). The girls knew and enjoyed the attention as much as we did.

By this time the first semester was coming to an end and we were feverishly preparing for the exams.
